Polar orbit

Polar orbit is perpendicular to the equator. The inclination of this orbit is 90 degrees. The orbit track of the polar satellite is going over all the latitudes of the Earth, unlike satellites with the orbit’s inclination lower than 90°.

This Canadian satellite with a weight 500 kg is made for scientific research and connection (picture 1). It was launched on the polar orbit with the perigee (the lower point) 317 km and the apogee (the higher point) 1283 km.
