The PSS is abruptly turned off when the flywheel engine is started.

The flywheel motor is a highly energy-consuming device, so do not spin it sharply at high speeds. The step of increasing the speed when writing a program should be no more than 500 with a given interval of 1 second. You can see the sample code in this section.

Sudden shutdown of the PSS.

Check the charge level of the PSS. It should be at least 7.4 V, and in the case of working with a flywheel, try to keep even more.

Also, during operation, you could short-circuit the contacts on the cable (from its end) or on the connectors. In such cases, protection is triggered and the PSS is disabled. It may need to be connected to the network to re-enable it.

The PSS has a current protection that protects it from short circuits and high currents. When the protection is triggered, Orbicraft 3D will be completely de-energized. To turn it on again, you need to connect the charger to the PSS for a few seconds and turn it off. The PSS will be restarted and Orbicraft 3D will be able to continue working.

PSS board indication

Pay attention to the marks on the PSS board: the LEDs are located at points Stat 1, Stat 2 and PG.

  • Stat 1: lights up green when charging is on;
  • Stat 2: lights up red - batteries are charged, if red flashes with varying intensity - batteries are almost charged;
  • PG: lights up white when charging is on.

The MCC does not see the USB-SERIAL CH340 port.

Perhaps due to driver inconsistencies, the port name will be different. In this case, it is easy to check whether this is the right port by simply checking its presence in the list. When you disconnect the USB cable and press Update port, it should disappear from the list, when you connect to USB and press Update port, it will appear again. In this case, connect to this port, whatever it is called.
