Assembly of on-Earth HF and UHF modules

To assemble this part of the constructor, you need to use parts from the second and third lodgments.

Components required for assembly:

  • On-Earth UHF board – 1 шт.;
  • Antenna – 1 шт.;
  • On-Earth HF board ВЧ – 1 pc.;
  • 2 parts of UNF housing;
  • 2 parts (semispheres) of HF housing;
  • Screw М3х6 – 12 pc.;
  • Base for on-Earth HF – 1 pc.;
  • Screw with ring.

Assembly order​

  1. Align the UHF board with the connectors on the upper base (picture 1).

  2. Cover the lower part and connect them with four M3x6 screws with a countersunk head on the side of the lower base (picture 2).

  3. Connect the antenna into the board through the connector (picture 3).

Assembly of on-Earth HF module​

  1. Insert the HF board into the lower base of the hemisphere so that the sensor fits into the hole provided for it, and the connector for connection into the cutout on the hemisphere (picture 4).

  2. Cover the lower base with the upper hemisphere, aligning all the cutouts. Fix the hemispheres together with four M3x6 screws (picture 5).

To suspend the HF module, it is necessary to fasten the rope on the screw with ring and carabiner into a special hole in the center of the upper hemisphere of the HF.
